The Golden Chamber of Commerce & Coors Distributing Company present the Knock Your Boots Off Chili Cook-Off & Beer Tasting. Proceeds of this tasty event benefit the Golden Chamber of Commerce community projects, including the Scholarship Fund for Golden High School and supporting St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Purchase an armband and join other chili and beer lovers for an afternoon of chili and beer tasting, or enter your own recipe and see how it stacks up with other local chili cooks!
30th Annual Candlelight Walk @ Downtown Golden

Since 1988 Golden’s Candlelight Walk has been a traditional favorite. This FREE community event brings thousands of families and friends into Golden. Holding a candle and singing holiday songs, everyone walks down Washington Avenue from 13th Street to 10th Street, where Santa and the mayor will help “light the lights” of our beautiful town. Experience the “hometown” feel of the holiday season in historic downtown Golden.
Olde Golden Christmas Parades @ Downtown Golden

Saturdays in December, authentic and historic downtown Golden becomes a festive holiday center with traditional decorations and fun family events. The free Olde Golden Christmas Parade starts at 10:30 a.m. with cowboys on horses, floats, marching bands, old cars, elves on unicycles, the Grinch in his corvette, and of course, Santa Claus. The parade winds down Washington Avenue with lots of activities before and after including snappy barbershop quartets, hot cider, Victorian carolers, and antique fire trucks.
